For those that know me A Stock is bound to be one of my favorite classes since it is populated by one of my favorite cars. I’m sure it is also St. Augustine, Florida’s Gregory Hahn’s favorite cars, as well as, he successfully piloted his 2008 Honda S2000 CR on Hoosier tires right to the top of the pile. Greg is a member of the South Florida Region SCCA.
RR: Is this your first attendance at Nationals?
GH: No. Altogether I have attended Nationals seventeen times.
RR: Is this your first National Championship?
GH: This is my first Solo Championship, but I also won a B Stock Pro Solo Championship in 2000 driving a Miata.
RR: What was your favorite memory of the competition?
GH: I think back on how I was in ninth on the first day and came back to win, and how quiet it seemed after I was done running and just waiting for everyone else to finish to see how the dust settled.
RR: What do you think was your key to success?
GH: Just being focused and keeping my mind clear.
RR: Who has most influenced you?
GH: My Dad G Walter Hahn.
RR: Who inspires you?
GH: Erik Strelnieks just seems to be on his game and never shows that he could be rattled. Also, I would say Steve Brolliar is another. Those two guys are like the Joe Montana of Solo II.
RR: Do you have any special pre-race routine, or any superstitions you follow?
GH: I like to be in my grid spot early and have the car ready and the just chill and listen to music.
RR: Do you have any driving aids or tools you use to help you?
GH: I use a video camera.
RR: What do you think you do differently than your competition?
GH: I wish I knew. It would make it easier for me!
RR: Have you attended any driving school?
GH: No.
RR: Describe your driving style.
GH: Aggressive on the edge, but smooth if that makes sense.

RR: What was your first –and favorite autocross car?
GH: My first was a 1985 Mitsubishi Starion. My favorite would be a 2006 Lotus Elise.
RR: If you could change one Solo rule – either for your specific class or in general — what would it be?
GH: Nothing comes to mind; I let other people figure that out.
RR: Who would you like to thank for your success?
GH: My parents they have always been there for me and my father is one of my best co-drivers anyone could ask for. Now, if we can get him to be a little faster…
